Seventh-day Adventist Educational Ministry
Winter Haven Adventist Academy is part of the Seventh-day Adventist church's North American system of more than 1,000 elementary and secondary schools and 15 colleges and universities. The unique philosophy of Adventist Christian education is based on the Scriptures.
The primary aim of Seventh-day Adventist education is to provide high quality education, opportunity for student to accept Christ as their Savior, to allow the Holy Spirit to transform their lives, strengthening student's gifts and abilities to fulfill the commision of preaching the gospel to all the world.
The education program is predicated on the belief that each student is unique and of inestimable value, and on the importance of the development of the whole person.
At WHAA a variety of curriculums are used to optimum learning; such as, Singapore Math, Fundations Reading, Scotts Foresman Science, Words Their Way, and Pathways Literacy. In addition, high emphasis on computer technology provides students with the skills they need to succeed.
